Frida La Catrina Cambie Dress

Hola todos! :) I bought some fabric. Well that’s not news right?! But this fabric really is special! I bought it at a fabric market that takes place here in Karlsruhe twice a year. It was raining lot when I visited it, but at least it wasn’t crowded. And so I had time to really look at all the beautiful fabrics and so I found this beautiful fabric at a stall that only sells quilting cottons. I normally wouldn’t ahve looked there. It was very high priced, at least for my taste. 18 €/m and only 1.10 m wide. And so I didn’t buy it instantly. I’m German after all! I am penny-wise! Continue reading →

Cambie

A short while ago Tasia from Sewaholic published new product photos of older patterns. I liked those of the Cambie Dress so much, that I decided to sew me another one. I don’t wear the two Cambie dresses I sewed before that often (here the red one, here the black one). Somehow I feel overdressed in them. But those new product pictures made the pattern look so casual that I decided to give the pattern another try. Continue reading →

MeMadeMay15: Week 1

First Me Made May week is over and now it is time to show you what I was wearing! Turned out that wearing only selfmade garments for the durantion of may is not really possible for me. I first realized that when I needed a rain jacket and afterwards when I went to the gym. I don’t see those kinds of garments as gaps in my wardrobe, it is totally fine for me to not have a self made rain jacket. Continue reading →
