Same procedure as every year.. Marvin needs shorts! He seems to need so much more than I can produce. Last year he even bought two pairs. What a waste of fun, if you ask me. Although I have to admit that the fun decreases when I am forced to sew three pairs of shorts in a row. I should start in winter I guess. But who likes to sew shorts in winter? This is already my fifth time participating in the Outfit Along (OAL). It started back in 2014 when I knit my first seamless top down sweater and sewed my Indie-Designer pattern. Both were eye opening experiences. For everyone who does not know the Outfit Along, you can read about it here. In summary it is a knit along combined with a sew along with the goal of making a whole outfit during June and July and showing it off on Raverly. For a short instance of maybe 4 days it got a little cooler again, hooray! Super practical because that meant that I was able to take pictures in my newest cardigan, I really wouldn’t have wanted to wear it in 32 °C. So yeah, here comes my newest cardigan, my version of the Damejakka Loppa by Pinneguri. About one and a half years ago I sewed what is now my favorite backpack. It was the first backpack that I sewed myself I really really liked and wore daily. Back then I ordered the niizo’s Freedom Backback sewing kit via etsy coming all the way from Taiwan. I made another dress from souvenir fabric bought during my trip to Raleigh/NC. I bought the fabric at Joann Fabrics in Raleigh together with the flannel fabric I made a Belladone dress from. There are lots of peonies in different shades of pink printed on it. And I think it was not meant to be a fashion fabric but patchwork fabric. The cotton is medium weight and the fabric was 110 cm wide. As far as I remember it was on sale. Nevertheless I only bought 2 yards, because I had limited space in my suitcase. Continue reading

Another week has passed, and I have managed to take daily pictures for Me Made May. The backdrops are far less spectacular than they were last week when I was in Sweden.
