Pattern Knitting Bag Cordula

Secretly I drafted a new pattern for a knitting bag called Cordula and here’s how that happened: in my knitting course the idea came up that a bag that allows you to walk or stand while you’re knitting would be very pratical. You see, we’re moving a lot while meeting to knit so it was only natural of us to get that idea at some point :) So I drafted a first protoype and after some time I went into massproduction and sewed a knitting bag for mostly everyone in my knitting group. Aster

img_20150628_183518Aster – that is the name that my grandmas dog had, when I was little. So you see, it was inevitably that I needed that new  Colette Pattern that’s called Aster I had some other reasons to buy it, too. For one it was on sale when it was released and I had a coupon code, because I receive the newsletter. For another I liked the pattern and another blouse couldn’t hurt, I really don’t have that much basics in my closet, and so I gave it a try! Continue reading

Chataigne Number deux

img_20150607_185403Right before we went on vacation I realized that I just have nothing to wear! Ha! That obviously is a lie! However, I felt that my wardrobe missed shorts! And I only used the expensive Chataigne pattern from Deer&Doe once. Great reasons, amiright?! And I had another one! I had some leftovers from a skirt I sewed a while ago (I don’t even have this skirt anymore) that had stripes and I had just enough to make another Chataigne Shorts out of it! Yay! I wanted stripes because I loved their effect on my Chataigne Skirt (that reminds me that I don’t have a clue where that skirt is hiding in my closet..) Continue reading

FloraLex

img_20150627_191201Last time I sewed the Flora/Elisalex Dress Hack it was still winter. Nevertheless I wore this long sleeved dress last week! Just think about that! It is supposed to be summer here! But that didn’t stop me from sewing summer dresses in May already. I know I made this one in May, because you can see party of it on my ironing board when I took pictures for the MeMadeMay theme “sewing space”. Thankfully the summer came three days ago and I can now show you a real summery dress! Continue reading

Pairfect!

img_20150621_165611I think a lot of my posts start with Usually I don’t.., but..  I don’t know why I even have principals. Its not like I would actually act according to them ;) So, here it is: Usuall I don’t show knitted socks on my blog, BUT Regia released a new sock yarn collection on thursday and I was asked to test! I felt like the huge knitting star (which I am!) when I got the E-Mail :D But I stopped my retarded grinning when I was asked for a mediakit? A what?! :D Continue reading

Hetty

img_20150621_164522So, today I’m going to show you what I wore at the sewing blogger meeting in Stuttgart in April. Yes,  I finished knitting this cardigan back in April. I’m so behind with blogging right now! When I knitted this thing it was still snowing! Okay that was bad luck, we had terribly cold weather when we went camping in the black forest. Unfortunately it is still so cold here in southern germany right now, that I need to wear that cardigan in order not to freeze! Has also it’s good sides, but right now i would rather not be needing it! Continue reading

Jedediah and Tom

img_20150510_173948Amelie infected me! She plans on sewing every month at least one garment for her boyfriend. How kind is that? Marvin has been asking for quite some time for a new pair of shorts and so I decided to make him shorts! Since I don’t go shopping for clothes anymore, Marvins doesn’t go either. He’s always telling me that he needs new stuff. Poor Marvin ;) After some Internet research I found that Thread Theory has some beautiful guys patterns! Continue reading

Ginger in ginger

img_20150613_142419Haaaa, great pun amiright?! :D But okay, my new jeans isn’t really ginger, I think ginger is more brownish red?! My new jeans is more of a redish red! Real red! And I love it! I bought it a store in Stuttgart were I met with other German sewing bloggers in April. We came across a small fabric store and I really fell in love with it. They had so extraordinary fabrics. When everybody was already outside waiting for me I still admired an orange lace fabric that had a dip dye effect! Uuuuuuh, I ended up only buying this real red denim, which was expensive enough, I couldn’t resist, just look at it! Continue reading

Bikinis

IMG_2502I’m kinda annoyed by sewing bras. I tried it two times and it didn’t really work out. The fit was awful. The pattern I used was awful, too. So maybe I need to spend some money on a good pattern and give it another try. But right now I just don’t feel like it. Instead the idea of sewing some bikinis spread in my head the moment the weather started to become better. So I started looking for patterns and fabrics. I ended up buying most of the things at sewy, they sell everything that has to do with bra and bikini making. Also the German Badenixen Sew Along was a great source of inspiration for me. Peacock Lady Skater

img_20150529_200656I’m back! Okay, some of you might not even have realized I was gone, because I had WiFi on the campsite and so I was able to comment and post a little! But I missed my fast Internet I have at home, browsing is much more fun at home! Except for the lame internet we had a really great time (and to be honest, the lame Internet wasn’t a huge problem either ;))! We had so much luck with the weather! It was shitty the day before we arrived and it was shitty on our departure! In between was nothing but sunshine! That never happened to us before! Continue reading
