The last week of may and with it the last week of Me Made May 15 has passed. It was a little more exhausting than the other weeks as I travelled from the far (German) north to the (Italian) south with a short stop Home in south Germany. That forced me not to overthink this weeks outfit and to wear warm as well as summery clothes. The backdrops also changed a lot in the course of this week, here we go: Continue reading

Flowery Belladone
I was planning on wearing my racoon belladone to Marvin’s sister’s wedding. But than I ran across another beautiful fabric that was on sale. It is a patchwork fabric just the like the racoon fabric and it only cost ! 10 €/m. It really wasn’t love at first sight. This is not a fabric I would usually buy. I have a phobia against white! When I wear white I am constantly afraid that I could get dirty. And most often I do. I don’t know why, Murphy’s Law or something… But because I kinda was on the look out for a wedding-guest-fabric I gave the fabric a second look and thought that it might just be perfect! MeMadeMay15: Week 3
I am a little late with my round-up of the third week of me made may 15. The reason for that is that I just returned from a trip to the north sea, where Marvin’s sister got married in a lighthouse. This trip made the picture taking and outfit choosing a little harder, but at least Marvin almost didn’t complain he had to take pictures of me :) Much worse was that I didn’t have access to the Internet! How sucky is that? Continue reading
Bonnell Dress
Did you see? Dixie from DixieDIY released a new pattern, the Bonnell dress. I read her blog for quite some time now and was amazed the first time I saw her in that dress! It has cut-outs on the sides! Isn’t that cool? I’m a fan of cut-outs, where ever they are. Not wearable in the office though, but perfect for a hot summer’s day! And since I saw that first version I knew I had the perfect fabric for that in my stash! Continue reading
MeMadeMay15: Week 2
And the second week of Me Made May 15 has passed! I wore self made clothes throughout the whole week and felt that it was a little harder than last week. The week was a little warmer and I only had to work on Wednesday (it was also the last day in my old job, yay!) so I could wear my dresses and skirts without tights and I spend a lot of time on the balcony. And here comes my round-up: Continue reading
Gillian Wrap Dress
This week there is a theme at the German Me MadeMittwoch (Mittwoch is the word for Wednesday). The theme is wrap dress. And although I knew that this theme day would come I didn’t bother sewing the wrap dress I planned on sewing a while ago until this sunday. So when I realized that the theme day will bis this Wednesday I finally sewed the Gillian Wrap Dress. Continue reading
MeMadeMay15: Week 1
First Me Made May week is over and now it is time to show you what I was wearing! Turned out that wearing only selfmade garments for the durantion of may is not really possible for me. I first realized that when I needed a rain jacket and afterwards when I went to the gym. I don’t see those kinds of garments as gaps in my wardrobe, it is totally fine for me to not have a self made rain jacket. Continue reading
Ginger
I have a lot of denim fabrics in my stash! I’m always on the lookout for denims that look good as a pair jeans without having this used-look. Because that is really hard to obtain. Or rather: I don’t want to try to make my new pair of jeans look used. Anyhow I have so many fabrics in my stash because after my last attempts I was kind of frustrated with sewing jeans. The sewing is really fun but the results were, well, not what I expected. Continue reading
Astoria
In the last couple of days I have seen a lot of Astoria pullovers in the Internet. Colette seems to have touched a nerve! But I haven’t seen many patterns for cropped pullover. Just recently Deer&Doe published such a pattern but that’s it. Or maybe I just didn’t run across those patterns because I wasn’t looking for the. But in the moment I am producing a lot of dresses and I don’t have the time to knit a cropped cardigan everytime I sew a new dress, so I gave the Astoria pattern a try! Continue reading
Laurel
I don’t like buying fabric that has only one color! And I don’t like sewing it either. But from time to time I just need a garment that is a little more unflashy. So I bought the fabric I used for my Bruyere Blouse in also in another color, a darker blue. Just recently I had a job interview, it was really spontaneous and I didn’t have anything to wear! I also didn’t have the time to sew something fancy and it came to my mind to sew a dress I could wear! Continue reading
