Rosarí Skirt

So, I decided after finishing Marvin’s Shorts that rather than making him another pair I was going to make myself a new skirt first from the leftovers of the shorts’ fabric. You see, unlike a normal person I do not use bookmarks in my browser, instead I leave tabs open, which results in a lot of open tabs ;) It really is a mess. In one tab I have had the website showing all the beautiful designs of Pauline Alice open for a long time now and now was the change to actually buy a pattern and close that tab :) Continue reading

Summer Hiking Dress

I think it’s strange that there is no market for hiking dresses. Well, no, there actually is one, hiking dresses are rare and there are only a few on the market, but they definitely do exists. So let me rephrase: I think it’s strange that I never see anyone hiking in a dress. What is even stranger is that people keep staring at me when they see me hiking in a dress. As if I was the idiot! Ha! They don’t know what they’re missing! Hiking and dresses go so well together. Even Marvin envies me! Well, to be fair, wide pants work well too. But they are never as breezy as a nice little dress. And you certainly can’t move as freely in a pair of pants as you can in a dress. Continue reading

Ginger and Renfrew

img_20160206_153408Oh yes, I sewed another pair of jeans. Or two! And this time the pants are actually plain blue! Incredible isn’t it? After a time of red and tie-dyed Ginger jeans it finally hit me that it is time to make some regular old pants! And so last time I went to the fabric markets I kept my eyes open for some dark blue denim and I found some beautiful pieces, indigo died stretch denim for 12.50 € per 1.5 m. Continue reading

Anémone and Renfrew

img_20160122_160418I sewed a skirt! I already announced that I will sew a lot a skirts this winter, so no one is allowed to complain ;) When it comes to skirts I would love to only sew Hollyburns and Kellys and Brumbys, but well I don’t want to bore myself and everyone else and so I told myself that it was time for a fresh skirt pattern and I chose: Anémone. Anémone is a Deer&Doe pattern and seeing so many beautiful versions of it in the Internet made me want to try it. Continue reading

MeMadeMay15: Week 4

Week4The last week of may and with it the last week of Me Made May 15 has passed. It was a little more exhausting than the other weeks as I travelled from the far (German) north to the (Italian) south with a short stop Home in south Germany. That forced me not to overthink this weeks outfit and to wear warm as well as summery clothes. The backdrops also changed a lot in the course of this week, here we go: Continue reading

MeMadeMay15: Week 3

Week3I am a little late with my round-up of the third week of me made may 15. The reason for that is that I just returned from a trip to the north sea, where Marvin’s sister got married in a lighthouse. This trip made the picture taking and outfit choosing a little harder, but at least Marvin almost didn’t complain he had to take pictures of me :) Much worse was that I didn’t have access to the Internet! How sucky is that? Continue reading

MeMadeMay15: Week 2

Week2And the second week of Me Made May 15 has passed! I wore self made clothes throughout the whole week and felt that it was a little harder than last week. The week was a little warmer and I only had to work on Wednesday (it was also the last day in my old job, yay!) so I could wear my dresses and skirts without tights and I spend a lot of time on the balcony. And here comes my round-up: Continue reading

MeMadeMay15: Week 1

Week1First Me Made May week is over and now it is time to show you what I was wearing!  Turned out that wearing only selfmade garments for the durantion of may is not really possible for me. I first realized that when I needed a rain jacket and afterwards when I went to the gym. I don’t see those kinds of garments as gaps in my wardrobe, it is totally fine for me to not have a self made rain jacket. Continue reading

Chataigne Shorts & Renfrew Shirt

img_20150329_122342And again it is wednesday! Aand I have something to show to you all! Just recently I told everyone that I was still sewing winter clothes, but that has changed as soon as I made my first order at Deer&Doe. For a long time I had an eye on some (or: most)of their patterns! I do not know why I didn’t order, I think I thought shipping costs are high, but in fact they are not! Within EU they are only 2 €, regardless of how many patterns you order! Continue reading
